So what does the role look like?

” Handling ocean import shipments from origin to destination.
” Coordinating with shipping lines, overseas agents, and clients to ensure smooth transit and delivery of goods.
” Preparing and processing import documentation, including customs clearance.
” Liaising with customs authorities and other regulatory bodies.
” Providing exceptional customer service by communicating proactively with clients about shipment status.
” Managing and resolving any shipment-related issues promptly and effectively.
” Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
” Maintaining accurate records of all shipments and documentation.
” Supporting the continuous improvement of import processes and procedures.

So do you have what it takes?

” Minimum of 3 years of experience in ocean freight forwarding.
” In-depth knowledge of import regulations and documentation.
” Familiarity with UK customs procedures and compliance.
” Proficient in freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office Suite.
” Exceptional organisational and multi-tasking skills.
” Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients and partners.
” Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
