Job Role: Import Operator

So what does the role look like?

Manage and coordinate import operations from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations and industry standards, while maintaining excellent relationships with customs authorities.
Prepare and review import documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and facilitate smooth operations.
Track shipments and provide updates to clients, ensuring transparency throughout the process.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in import operations or a related logistics role.
Strong understanding of import procedures, customs regulations, and documentation.
Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Proficiency in logistics management software and MS Office applications.
Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented and highly organised, with a proactive approach to managing tasks.
