Our client is seeking an Import Clerk

So what does the role look like?

Review and process import documentation to ensure compliance with customs regulations
Accurately prepare and submit import declarations and other necessary paperwork
Maintain relationships with customs officials and other regulatory bodies
Coordinate with freight forwarders and carriers to facilitate the timely delivery of goods
Monitor shipments and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the import process
Update and maintain records in the company’s import tracking systems
Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation as required
Stay informed about industry regulations and changes in import laws

So do you have what it takes?

To excel in this role, you will need:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in import operations or a similar role in the shipping and logistics industry
Strong knowledge of customs regulations and import processes
Proficiency in using logistics software and tracking systems
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong communication skills with a keen attention to detail
The ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
