Import and Export Freight Forwarder

Our client is seeking… a detail-oriented and experienced Import and Export Freight Forwarder to join their dynamic team. So what does the role look like?

” Act as a primary point of contact for clients regarding all import and export shipping matters.
” Coordinate and manage the entire shipping process, including documentation, customs clearance, and transportation.
” Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates to clients and responding promptly to inquiries.
” Identify and resolve any issues or delays in the shipping process, implementing corrective actions as needed.
” Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry regulations, ensuring compliance with customs and safety standards.
” Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, agents, and service providers to ensure competitive pricing and optimal service levels.

So do you have what it takes?

We’re looking for candidates who have:

” Proven experience in a freight forwarding role with a focus on import and export processes, ideally with a minimum of 3 years within the industry.
” A deep understanding of shipping procedures, documentation, customs regulations, and incoterms.
” Strong IT skills, including proficiency in freight management systems and Microsoft Office.
” Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively under pressure.
” Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with clients and partners.

” Salary: £32,000 – £35,000
