Our client is seeking an HGV Class 1 Shunter

As a HGV Class 1 Shunter, you will play a vital role in the smooth functioning of their dock operations, ensuring that cargo is moved with precision and care.

So what does the role look like?

Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles for effective dock shunting operations
Safely manoeuvre vehicles to load, unload, and transfer cargo as directed
Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks and report any faults
Collaborate with dock staff and management to optimise operations
Adhere to health and safety regulations and industry standards
Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements and cargo handling
Respond promptly to any operational changes or requirements

So do you have what it takes?

Hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence
Proven experience in dock shunting or similar logistics roles
Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations
Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork
Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
Ability to work flexible shifts including days and nights

Here’s the package breakdown for you…

The salary is to be confirmed but multiple options are available, with shifts including:

Day shifts from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday
Night shifts from 7pm to 7am, Monday to Friday
Weekends, with either day or night shifts
