Our client is seeking a dedicated Fleet & Compliance Manager to lead their Fleet & Compliance team in ensuring the utmost compliance of their HGV fleet at all times. This road haulier prides itself on delivering exceptional service within the transport industry, and they’re looking for a committed professional who shares their passion for the sector. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of excellence and the ability to effectively manage team members, including a driving team. With a responsibility as the main CPC holder on their O licence, supported by the Assistant Transport Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining the compliance and operational integrity of the transport business.
So what does the role look like?
Lead and manage the Fleet & Compliance team to ensure full compliance of the HGV fleet.
Act as the main CPC holder for the company’s O licence.
Oversee the compliance of all transport operations.
Work closely with the Assistant Transport Manager to uphold industry standards and practices.
Provide training and support to team members to improve compliance and efficiency.
Conduct regular audits of fleet operations and implement improvements as needed.
Ensure adherence to both National and International transport laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance and fleet management.
So do you have what it takes?
Proven experience in a similar role within the transport industry (minimum of 5 years).
In-depth knowledge of HGV compliance and transport regulations.
Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
National and International CPC qualifications are essential.
Strong IT skills including proficiency in compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary: £60,000 per annum.
Company car (Hybrid).
Enhanced Pension scheme.
Private Health cover.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 18:00 (1 hour lunch).
5 weeks holiday per annum + Bank Holidays.
Work location: Hadleigh, Suffolk.
