So what does the role look like?
Develop and implement strategic business development plans to foster new client relationships and enhance existing partnerships.
Identify market opportunities and lead efforts to secure new business within the freight forwarding sector.
Conduct thorough market research to inform strategy, pricing, and service offerings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Prepare and present proposals to prospective clients, showcasing the company’s services and strengths.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the market.
Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to promote brand visibility and establish relationships.
Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management regarding the progress and results of business development activities.
So do you have what it takes?
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development within the European freight Forwarding industry.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
Thorough knowledge of freight forwarding processes, customs regulations, and logistics solutions.
Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop actionable insights from market data.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Self-motivated with robust organisational and time management skills.
