Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join their locally owned haulage firm. Known for their exceptional service standards and commitment to reliability, our client has established a strong reputation in the transportation industry. As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be an integral part of the team, ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods across the UK.

So what does the role look like?

Transport goods safely and efficiently to various destinations across the UK.
Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate delivery and collection records.
Adhere to all driving regulations and company safety policies.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to ensure smooth operations.
Follow routes and time schedules as provided by the logistics team.
Assist in loading and unloading of goods when required.

So do you have what it takes?

Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence with a clean driving record.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the haulage industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of transportation laws and regulations.
Proficient in using digital tachographs and other vehicle management systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
